INTRO TO CLT/LEHC PARTNERSHIPS
Community Land Trusts (CLTs) are nonprofit, community-based organizations entrusted with land stewardship. Community land trusts can be used for many types of land use purposes such as farming, preservation or housing. For housing, prospective homeowners enter into a long-term, renewable lease with the land trust instead of buying the land. When a LEHC partners with them, they can provide long-term, stable, affordable housing.
